Literary passport

What is a reading passport?

A reading passport is a record of your books where each book you finish stamps the country of its author.

Pagenaut finds the author's country on Wikidata. If the author has more than one, you pick. The map lights up every country you visit, and you can share it as an image: "I've read authors from 23 countries."

What happens with books set in invented worlds?

Books set in invented places open a fantasy map. The first one gives you the stamp "Resident of Elsewhere".

How does a stamp arrive?

The stamp drops, presses, leaves ink and shines. It takes one second, and one tap skips it.

Mira, the librarian

How does Pagenaut choose my next book?

Mira asks you 4 or 5 quick questions and picks a book you don't have yet that fits your answers.

Each answer chooses the next question, like a guessing game. Short or long, familiar or new, sad or full of action. You tap; you never type.

  2. Read the first pagesUse the free sample from your ebook store, or a copy from the library.
  3. Come back for your badgeAnswer one question about those pages. Tell Mira if you liked it, and the next date gets sharper.

Daily quiz

What is the daily book quiz?

The daily book quiz is one puzzle a day: guess the book from its first line, a blurred cover or a row of emojis.

First lines come only from public domain books. Your streak counts the days you play. Reminders stay off until you turn them on.

Import

How do I import my Goodreads library?

Export your library from Goodreads as a CSV file, upload it to Pagenaut, and in about 30 seconds your shelves and finished books are in place.

StoryGraph CSV files work the same way. Kindle highlights come from your My Clippings.txt file.

  1. 1Open goodreads.com on a computer (the export lives on the website).
  2. 2Go to My Books → Import and export → Export Library.
  3. 3Upload the CSV file in Pagenaut. Your stamps appear at once.

Trophy room

What do I win for reading in Pagenaut?

Every book you finish gives you a prize on the spot: a country stamp, a badge or an image to share.

Badges live in your trophy room, next to a shelf of colored spines. Each one turns and shines when it arrives.
